Rwanda Mountain Hiking
Rwanda is known as a country of a thousand hills and volcanoes. Bisoke is among the volcanoes we have in Rwanda. Just like gorilla trekking, hiking up Mt Bisoke takes place in the Volcanoes national park, with briefing at the Kinigi park headquarters as early as 7:00am. After your briefing, you will set off in your van to hiking head trail where you will meet your guides and porters.
Bisoke
Mt Bisoke stands at 3700m; it has the normal conic state of a “flawless” volcano and in its crater lies a deep crater lake. The high elevation demands extra strength of climbers and the whole excursion can take between 5 hours and the whole day depending on the speed of the walk and the frequency of stops. The climb ordinarily takes around 3 hours.
This Tour requires a minimum of 3 people at $280 each and includes transport from Kigali to Musanze and from Musanze to Kigali, lunch and snacks, hiking permit and exclude personal items for hiking.
