Lake Kivu is one of the African Great Lakes. It lies on the border between DR Congo and Rwanda, and is in the Albertine Rift, the western branch of the East African Rift. Lake Kivu empties into the Ruzizi River, which flows southwards into Lake Tanganyika.

Day Lake Kivu Karongi Shores Experience
7:00 am :Transfer to Karongi with stop over at Ndaba’s rock
10:10 am : Boat trip in Lake Kivu, heading to Amahoro and Napoleon Islands and do a hike
13:10 am : Lunch in Karongi
14:10 : Environmental Museum Visit
15:30 Drive back to Kigali
18:30 Arrival back in Kigali and drop off at your Hotel or Kigali International
Airport.
